More than 2,180 companies in Malaga request help from the digital kit for SMEs and the self-employed

A total of 2,181 companies between ten and less than 50 employees demand in Malaga digital kit aid for SMEs and self-employed promoted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation to promote the digitization of small businesses, micro-businesses and the self-employed, and thus contribute to the modernization of the Spanish productive fabric.

The companies in Malaga that have already applied for this aid, 51.4%, will receive a total 26.17 million euros and will be able to access bonuses of 12,000 euros with which to acquire solutions to improve your level of digitalization (web page, internet positioning and social networks, electronic invoice, cybersecurity, among others), as reported by the Government Subdelegation.



The the application period will remain open until September through the electronic headquarters of Red.es (sede.red.gob.es), they said in a press release.

The Deputy Government Delegate in Malaga, Javier Salas, encouraged business people in the province to apply for this assistance and underlined that “the digital kit is a great example of how recovery funds are coming to the territory with an impact on people, entrepreneurs and businesses , in particular SMEs”.

“The key to this program and its success is that we have succeeded in simplifying the bureaucratic procedures and provide process support to SMEs that decide to start their digital transformation process,” assured Salas.

In order to facilitate access to assistance as much as possible, allowed the figure of the “voluntary representative” so that any duly authorized third party can apply for the aid on behalf of the SME. It can be any natural or legal person and includes both the managers and the attached digitization agents who, in turn, can be the suppliers of the technological service.

The catalog of digitizing agents currently has nearly 3,000 entities and is constantly being updated as 500 digitizing agents will be added to it every week, following the order of submission of applications and once any corrections are resolved, they reported back to the government.

With a total budget of 3,067 million euros, The digital kit is funded by Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan Next Generation EU within the framework of the Digital Spain agenda and the SME Digitization Plan 2021-2025, and aims to digitize SMEs and the self-employed throughout the national territory of all productive sectors over the next three years.
