We have a new POCO in Spain and it’s a special launch. Now you can buy the new POCO C40, the mobile with the largest screen in the company and with a bestial 6000mAh battery. It also happens to be an entry-level mobile, being the cheapest POCO device.
These are the characteristics of the POCO C40, a mobile that comes to renew what we have already seen a few years ago with the POCO C3. A big device with enough battery life to spend hours and hours on it. It may not be the most powerful of all POCOs, but it is still in line with trying to offer good specs at a contained price. Let’s see how far he can go.

Excellent battery and processor from JLQ

The POCO C40 is a mobile with a large but simple screen. We have a 6.71-inch IPS panel with HD+ resolution, along with a 60Hz refresh rate. Slightly more expensive phones allow access to a significantly higher panel, but here POCO has chosen to give priority to size.
This has one advantage and that is that the amount of battery that is added is considerably higher than usual. It’s not the first time, but it’s curious to see it again the simplest and cheapest mobiles are also those with the most battery. In fact, the rest of the components do not take up so much space in the body of the mobile and can take advantage of it to add more battery. We met 6,000mAhwith an 18W load.

For RAM and storage, there are two options. We consider that the cheapest stay below what is recommended in 2022. Part of the 3 GB and 32 GB, while then offering 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, always expandable via microSD cards.
Inside we find a virtually unknown processor. It’s not Qualcomm or MediaTek, but the other brands such as UNISOC that are usually common in these ranges either. The The processor chosen is a JLQ JR10 with eight cores and 4G connectivity. It’s a Chinese company founded in 2017 and which until now had focused on chips for the Internet of Things.
At the software level, we find MIUI 13in its version with the POCO launcher and based on Android 11.
For the photographic part, a dual camera, with a main sensor of 13 megapixels and a secondary for depth and allow portrait mode photos.
