The journey to a multiplayer adventure inspired by Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley begins soon!
Indie developer Snowcastle Games today reveals its upcoming adventure about crafting, battling pirates, and animal friendships, Ikonei Island: A Landless Adventurewill enter early access on August 18.
Details on the first steps of the roadmap to a full release for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One were also announced, promising creature care features, improved farming, deep placement and more.
Inspired by titles like animal crossing there Stardew Valley, Ikonei Island: A Landless Adventure adds to the fascinating exploration, resource gathering, crafting and customization systems with a host of fun gameplay ideas that give this colorful title its own twist.
Befriending local wildlife and using their unique abilities to help you access new areas of the island provides a compelling exploration mechanic unlike anything you’ve seen in the genre before.
Expect to encounter dangerous pirate camps and fight monsters as you uncover the secrets of Ikonei Island. Perhaps most importantly, expect to do all of this with your friends! Multiplayer is one of the key features that Snowcastle will add to the game as it builds on the title’s features during Early Access.
Set in the universe of role-playing games Earthlock, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure takes the rich world and magical setting of the franchise into new territory. As you explore a varied and intriguing landscape with secrets to uncover, you’ll uncover ancient ruins of a bygone civilization and unlock a host of different biomes, ranging from icy mountains and dry deserts to dense jungles and scorching swamps.
In addition to crafting, farming, combat, and all that Ikonei Island’s gameplay systems have to offer, players will have the ability to make the island their own. An upgradable village serves as your base of operations, and unique placeable objects allow you to customize the island to your liking. This extends to their portable home which can be placed anywhere on the island. Decorate it according to your own taste!
