The new Tesla Model S and Model X Plaid, with a power of 1,020 CV and an electric range to match its performance, will be available in Spain from 139,990 and 143,990 euros, respectively.

Maximum power and range
The Tesla Model S and Model X Plaid are the most powerful production electric cars in the world, with 1,020 hp (750kW) each and an autonomy commensurate with its services.
The Model S Plaid is a 16-foot-long sports sedan that accelerates 0-100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 322 km/h Thanks to your three engines high performance with carbon sleeves. The electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 100kWh which gives autonomy 600 kilometers in the WLTP combined cycle. It has a price in Spain of €139,990.

The Tesla Model X Plaid, on the other hand, is a high-performance four-wheel-drive SUV that accelerates 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 262 km/h despite the measure 5 meters long and 1.7 high with a weight of 2.445 kg. It promises an autonomy of 528 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle and its price is €143,990.
“Plaid is by far the most significant update we have made to Model S and Model X since their respective launches in 2012 and 2015 (2013 and 2016 in Europe): new interiors, engines, thermal systems, electronics, chassis and more“, Tesla Europe reported through a statement. “With the significantly improved manufacturing capacityreduced weight and a refined yet iconic design, both vehicles deliver entirely new levels of luxury, technology and performancesetting unprecedented standards,” the statement added.
Without using the Moves III plan
In 2023, two cheaper versions of the Model S and Model X will arrive in Europe, called Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, which will also have all-wheel drive but will not be as powerful as the Plaid versions, which represent the top level of the range. Orders will open in the coming weeks, although they will surely remain as well apart from using the Moves III planwhich subsidizes the purchase of electric cars with a maximum price of 45,000 euros excluding VAT.
Overshadowed by Model 3 and Model Y
The high price of the Tesla Model S and Model X is one of the reasons why they are no longer sold in Spain. In 2022, only two Model X units were registered in our country and none of the Model S. Another reason is that Tesla customers prefer to buy the Model 3 and the ModelY, the two most successful (and most economical) models of the American firm. Model 3 is the best-selling electric car in Spain (and worldwide) with 1,593 units registered so far this year, while the Model Y is ninth with 585 deliveries in 2022.
