2K revealed through the first trailer gameplay some of the novelties that will arrive at ‘NBA 2K23‘. Innovations that promise to increase competitive intensity at all levels include new skill moves, animations and archetypes of players that will provide a more authentic and hyper-realistic experience.

Starting with casting, the main change this year is the inclusion of new attributes that will give each casting mechanic unique stats to help determine its effectiveness. There is also five new shot counters to choose fromwith 15 more to unlock through Seasons over the next year.

Improvements are being made to the Pro Stick, with the addition of combo moves that present new options for annotation and the huge. The same goes on defense, with the addition of improvements aimed at creating more realistic blocks and interceptions. ‘NBA 2K 23’ will feature a new tiered badge system for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players where there will be 16 badges per attribute category: eight at Tier 1, four at Tier 2, and four at Tier 3, with the idea that players must equip a certain number badges at lower levels before you can equip badges at higher levels.
