Samsung Electronics recently announced the ViewFinity S8 (S80PB), a specialized high-resolution monitor for creative professionals, content creators, and graphic designers, among others.
ViewFinity, an acronym for “View” and “Infinity”, is the name of Samsung’s line of high-resolution monitors, which means “the value of infinite viewing experience”, and shows the ambition to define a new reference for high resolution monitors.

The Samsung ViewFinity S8, available in 32″ and 27″ models, offers high performance on the most popular screen sizes. Professional-grade UHD resolution is paired with a wide color gamut of up to 98% DCI-P3 and Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) DisplayHDR™ 600[1] for more range, precision and nuance. Professional factory calibration ensures that up to 1 billion colors are projected with crystal clarity on the IPS panel, creating vibrant color reproduction and contrast while working on the most complex visual and design projects.
In addition, Samsung ViewFinity S8 has received “PANTONE Validated” recognition.[2] on pantone screen[3]meaning the models authentically reproduce over 2,000 colors, as well as the newly added 110 skin tones that can be found in the PANTONE Skin Tone Guide.
As the world’s first UL-certified glare-free monitor[4], Screen Matte is applied to the top of the panel, reducing light reflection even when a monitor cover is not in use for a distraction-free work environment. This is further enhanced by the wide viewing angle which allows users to see images clearly from any angle. Additionally, ViewFinity S8 won the CES 2022 Innovation Award in the Computer Peripherals & Accessories category in recognition of Samsung’s continuous efforts to bring tremendous benefits to its customers.
This monitor offers increased functionality to create efficient workflows. It can be used as an all-in-one desktop or laptop docking station for streamlined workstations at home or in the office. Additionally, users can connect the monitor with a single USB Type-C cable which enables display signals, 10Gbps data transfers, fast internet speeds over an Ethernet connection.[5] and fast charging with up to 90W of power. The VESA-compliant design maximizes space efficiency, allowing users to adjust, tilt or swivel the monitor to the perfect ergonomic position. The ViewFinity S8 offers TÜV Rheinland certification for Intelligent Eye Care, Adaptive Picture for optimized quality in any viewing environment, Eye Saver Mode and Flicker Free technology.
For a more sustainable future
Samsung developed and applied a new material to the ViewFinity S8, made from recycled plastics that would go into the ocean to reduce marine debris and minimize environmental footprint while using more recycled plastics to produce its display products by compared to 2021. Samsung Savings Plus eco-friendly technology also reduces pixel brightness in sections of an image with black pixels for up to a 10% reduction in power consumption. In fact, ViewFinity S8 is TCO certified[6] for the design of its product according to specific requirements of social and environmental responsibility, since the life cycle of its product also contributes to the circular economy.
ViewFinity monitors include new models and nine other products with QHD or higher resolution: Models 2022 (S80PB, S61B) and 2021 (S95UA, S80UA, S80A, S70A, S65UA, S60UA, S60A).
