After the impact, Mathis Bellon, from the French island of Réunion, was evacuated by helicopter to the Veronese hospital in Borgo Trento, where he had to be operated on twice, then transferred to another hospital in Montpellier (France), but all attempts to reverse his brain death have been unsuccessful.
Officials at the Italian circuit where the accident occurred expressed their condolences via social media.

Bellon was one of the promises of French motorcycling and belonged to the Race Experience School promoted by ex-rider Sébastien Gimbert, who came to participate in the World Championship. Indeed, the young deceased driver had won the last two races of the MiniGP 115 category of the championship.
