August 2022 Events in Pokémon GO: Return of Zacian and Zamazenta, Changes and More

Pokemon GOthe popular mobile title from Niantic, released the main novelties intended for this August 2022 next. The company, as usual, has highlighted the new events and Pokémon that will be available to capture throughout the month; so you we give all the information important so that you can prepare and make the most of everything that awaits you.

August 2022 Research Achievements Meeting

New research implementation meeting to fill the seven weekly stamps of field surveys during the month of August 2022 is as follows:

  • The Pokemon Stunfisk of Galar*: Available to claim from Monday, August 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (10:00 p.m. CEST) through Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (10:00 p.m. CEST).

Featured Pokemon in Raids

The ace raids in August 2022 are full of novelties legendary pokemon very special in their 5 Star Levels. Here are the confirmed creatures and their spawn dates (note that all rotations start and end at 10:00 local time unless otherwise specified):

  • Reward*: from Sunday July 31, 2022 to Wednesday August 10, 2022
  • Genesect (ROM TBC): from Wednesday August 10, 2022 to Thursday August 18, 2022
  • Zacian and Zamazenta: from Thursday August 18, 2022 to Wednesday August 31, 2022.

Mega Raid Pokemon

Regarding the mega evolved pokemon present at the mega raidsHere are the Mega Evolveds that will be available (note that all rotations start and end at 10:00 am local time unless otherwise specified):

  • Mega-Abomasnow*: from Sunday July 31, 2022 to Wednesday August 10, 2022.
  • Mega Surprise Evolution: from Wednesday August 10, 2022 to Thursday August 18, 2022.
  • Mega-Slowbro*: from Thursday August 18, 2022 to Thursday August 25, 2022.
  • Mega-Ampharos*: from Thursday August 25, 2022 to Wednesday August 31, 2022.

Raid Time Events

All the Wednesday in August will have a raid hour event from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., local hour. The following Pokémon will be present during raid hours:

  • Wednesday August 3: Rewards*.
  • Wednesday August 10: Genesect (ROM to be confirmed).
  • Wednesday August 17: Genesect (ROM to be confirmed).
  • Wednesday August 24: Zacian.
  • Wednesday August 31: Her husband.

Featured Pokemon Hours

In August 2022, the Featured Pokémon Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, as per usual. Each hour features a different Pokémon as well as a special bonus:

  • August 2 | Hisui Voltorb: Double Stardust to capture Pokémon.
  • August 9 | Nidoran♀*: Double XP for capturing Pokémon.
  • August 16 | Joltic: Double Candy to capture Pokémon.
  • August 23 | Nidoran♂*: Double Candy for transferring Pokémon.
  • August 30 | Pidove*: Double XP for evolving Pokemon.

August 2022 Community Day

The Community day of August 2022 will have as Pokmon presented to Galarian Zigzagoon, Dark and Normal type Pokémon. This monthly event will be held specifically on saturday 13 August 2022 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. local time. Upcoming Featured Events

On top of all that, Niantic also brought forward the date and summary characteristics of certain events the specials we will see in August 2022 are the following:

  • Pokémon GO Fest – Sapporo: from Friday August 5 to Sunday August 7, 2022.
  • Wow! : event with Bug-type Pokémon from Wednesday August 10, 2022 to Tuesday August 16, 2022.
  • 2022 Pokémon World Championships: from Thursday August 18, 2022 to Tuesday August 23, 2022.
  • Pokémon GO Fest 2022 – Closing: the closing global event will take place on August 27 (more details to come).
