The Ministry of Public Health said it is maintaining surveillance and active community search for febrile cases, treatment and investigation of identified cases, in addition to strengthening surveillance.
He indicated that the season with the highest circulation of the disease has started in the Dominican Republic and in several countries of the Caribbean and America.
Meanwhile, Dr. Clemente Terrero, director of Robert Reid Cabral Children’s Hospital, reported that in the current epidemiological week (#26), he treated 344, with an average of 3-5 cases. per day (12 to 15 cases per week), being most cases in children aged 9 to 15 years and mainly corresponding to the female sex.
