Dr Ronald Skewes advised that the disease occurs and spreads in the home and that all of these events are within expected parameters, “we are at a point where cases are starting to increase, being the behavior of dengue fever for years” .

The Ministry of Public Health said it is maintaining surveillance and active community search for febrile cases, treatment and investigation of identified cases, in addition to strengthening surveillance.
