Enzo Zidane signs for Fuenlabrada from First RFEF

Enzo Zidanethe eldest son of Zinedine Zidane, return to Spain. The 27-year-old midfielder, who last season played for Rodez in the French second division, arrives on a free transfer to Fuenlabrada, who have just been relegated to First RFEF. Enzo signs for a campaign with the Madrid club, who will leave with the aim of returning to the silver tier of Spanish football. Fuenlabrada will rely on the same coach who took them to the second division three years ago, Simply beautiful.

The first-born of the Zidane family, trained in the lower categories of Real Madrid, made his debut for the first team in 2016 at the hands of his father in a idyllic premiere with a goal scored against Cultural Leonesa. However, the midfielder hasn’t settled into the top flight and hasn’t found stability in his career so far. He left Castilla in 2017 and in five years he went through seven teams and four different leagues: Alavés, Lausane-Sport from the Swiss first division, Rayo Majadahonda from the second division, Desportivo Asves from the highest category in Portugal, Almería -in the second division-, Rodez and now Fuenlabrada.

In this last campaign, he played only 381 minutes in 15 games for Rodez, without appearing in almost any of them as a starter and being canceled since February. Enzo Zidane becomes the sixth signing of a Fuenlabrada which practically only integrates second division players: the Almería midfielder Javier Roblesthe goalkeeper of Tenerife Dany Hernández, the center of Oviedo Christian Fernandez ‘Bolaño’, the right end of the Sanse (First RFEF) Iron Ruiz and the striker from Santa Clara, of the Portuguese first division, Mohammad Bouldini.

Where do Zidane’s other three children play?

Zinedine Zidane, who is currently not coaching any team after leaving Real Madrid last year, has three other children: Luca Zidane (24 years), Theo Zidane (20)y Elyaz Zidane (16). At the present time, apart from Elyaz who is still very young, none of the sons of ‘Zizou’ have managed to impose themselves at the highest level. Enzo, at 27, is far from getting there, while Luca, the goalkeeper, is now no team after the end of the contract with Vallecano Ray, with whom he has barely played 8 games this season. The goalkeeper made his debut with Real Madrid who, after loaning him to Races (Second B) in the 19/20 academic year he left him free to reach Vallecas.

The third in the saga, Theo -a midfielder like his brother Enzo-, will continue one more season in the First RFEF with Castilla under the orders of Raul, with which he will face Enzo. Theo, who played 22 games for the Madrid subsidiary last season without taking advantage of the ownership, is these days in the dynamics of the first team. For his part, Elyaz – central or left back – is still in Madrid’s lower categories at 16 and next year he will be in his second year after spending the first in youth C. The defender, from 1.94, just won the Under 17 Europeans with France, despite only playing 109 minutes in six games.
