The Basque event has announced some of the titles of the official section of its 70th edition, which will be held from September 16 to 24.
The San Sebastian Film Festival warms up the engines in front of its 70th editionwhich will take place from September 16 to 24. The competition has already announced the Spanish films of the Official Section who will compete for golden shell and among them are the new projects of Dovecote pillar there Jaime Rosales.
The official section 2022 will start with Model 77movie of Alberto Rodriguez -out of competition- set in 1977 in the Barcelona Model Prison and which includes in its cast Javier Gutierrez there Miguel Herrán.
Already in competition wild sunflowers by Jaime Rosales, which follows a 22-year-old mother who falls in love with an embarrassing boy. Also Spring consecration of Edward Franka drama that depicts the relationship between a young woman who moves to Madrid to study at the University and David, a boy with cerebral palsy.

One of the titles to take into account, to use the Goya a Best film, Best New Director there Best Screenplay; are the maternalthe short story by Pilar Palomero, director of girls. This story revolves around Carla, a 14-year-old girl who lives on the outskirts of town with her young, single mother. When it is discovered that she is five months pregnant, the protagonist enters La Maternal, a center for underage mothers.
They complete the list of Spanish titles in the official section sour of Mikel Gurrea about a couple planning to build a life in the woods. Also Blackout -out of competition-, a series made up of five stories directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyan, Raul Arevalo, isa campo, Alberto Rodriguez e Isaki Lacuesta and which chronicles a reality in which a solar storm hits the Earth causing a widespread blackout.
Ultimately, Isabelle Coixet se a a special screenings of the Official Section with The yellow roofa documentary about a group of women who, in 2018, filed a complaint against two of their teachers at the Aula de Teatro de Lleida for sexual abuse.

Another Spanish title, but part of the section Beadsare The crooked lines of Godadaptation of the novel by Torcuato Luca de Tena Directed by Paul Oriol and with Barbara Leni as the protagonist who will be responsible for closing the section. The beaststhe short story by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, and one year one night by Isaki Lacuesta, will also be seen at Perlak.

Ultimately, Rainbowthe movie of netflix directed by paco leon will be presented first in the competition. The film will be released in theaters on September 23 and on the streaming platform of the great Jan September 30.
Over the next few months, the San Sebastian Film Festival will unveil the rest of the titles that will compete for the Golden Shell and complete the Perlak section. The 70th edition of the contest will award the Donostia prizes to Juliette Binoche Already David Cronenberg.
