They’ve tried everything against the odds, but the three development companies that produce the Brian Adams concert in Vigo had to announce the postponement of the To display. According to estimates from previous events, just over 10,000 people were eager to see the Canadian singer perform on the soccer field of the As Travesas pavilion. But, fortunately for his fans, Adams, who had the right not to perform due to his contractual terms, showed solidarity with the promoters and together they postponed the concert to the next Tuesday 19 of this month.
What happened?
The saturation of the events market during the summer, coupled with a stroke of bad luck, upset the organization’s plans. Yesterday, two of the four riggers -workers specializing in everything related to lifting and suspending loads on stages- tested positive for COVID-19 and had to leave the stage set-up. The strained state of the entertainment production sector has made it impossible for any company with a reach in the city to fill these gaps. Even so, they recognize from Prodúceme and XQuatro Espectaculos, the rest of the huge team worked all night and morning to bring the event to a successful conclusion. “We all pitched in. Even the bosses and those with office jobs gave their all here,” they lament. Although they had worked against the clock for the past forty-eight hours to resolve these problems, in the end they did not have the material time to be ready at the scheduled concert time of ten o’clock in the evening.
From Vigo’s production company XQuatro Espectaculos they explain “that in 31 years of work we have never had such a good response from an artist, with Fito and Fitipaldis. From the first moment, the team of ‘Adams and himself were predisposed to help’. They praise the good attitude of the singer and his people for such “professional and human” behavior: “By contract they could take it and leave, but they didn’t”. In fact, they explain, “Bryan Adams has shown an unusual interest in coming to play in Vigo.”
And the tickets?
Although the official statement has not yet been released, this newspaper was able to confirm that the tickets already purchased will remain valid for Adams’ concert next Tuesday, so no changes are necessary. Likewise, those who cannot attend the new date can request reimbursement of their tickets until July 29 at the same point of sale where they were purchased.
The concert will take place next Tuesday
This news comes in the same week that the team of Bryan Adams has canceled his concert in Valencia due to technical difficulties with the scene. The new date of the Canadian’s concert in Vigo, July 19, will coincide with the Coco Children’s Show: Tribute Musicl, which will be held a few meters away, in Castrelos.
“The Canadian artist has made a huge effort, in his busy summer schedule, not to miss his meeting with the fans of Vigo”, they point out from the organization, which specifies that the tickets already purchased will remain valid, so you don’t need to make any changes. Likewise, those who cannot attend the new date can request reimbursement of their tickets until July 29 at the same point of sale where they were purchased.
